Overview

BudgetPad ("the app", "we", "us") is a personal budgeting app that helps you track budgets, expenses, loans, and split bills. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We do not sell your data, show ads, or use third-party advertising trackers.

Information we collect

We do not collect location, contacts, photos, or advertising identifiers, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

Guest / offline mode

You can use BudgetPad without an account ("Continue offline"). In this mode your data is stored only on your device and is not uploaded to our servers.

How we use your information

How your data is stored

When you are signed in, your data is stored using Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore), which acts as our data processor. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections. Sign in with Google and Sign in with Apple are handled by Google and Apple respectively under their own privacy policies.

Data retention and deletion

You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app: Settings → Delete account. This removes your budgets, expenses, loans, and splits from our database and deletes your authentication record. Guest-mode data can be removed by clearing the app's data or deleting the app.

Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal information. Data is processed only by the infrastructure providers listed above (Google Firebase, and Google/Apple for sign-in) solely to operate the app, and may be disclosed if required by law.

Children

BudgetPad is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
